Sajda knows first-hand the affects terrorism can have, she narrowly escaped serious injury and death during the London terrorist attack on 7th July 2005 where she was on the same Piccadilly tube as the bomber Germaine Lindsay. Since then, she became determined to work within her community in order to strengthen the role that women and mothers play in building a stronger, safer society. Nearly a decade ago, Sajda developed the pioneering award-winning Web Guardians™ programme working with women and mothers to protect their children from online extremism. She advises schools, public/private sector partners.
Saje is also a member of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) and she co-founded the Survivors Against Terror Network.
Sajda has received numerous awards and recognition for her work and in 2015 she was awarded an OBE.
She is also a mum of two young children.
